​Mythical Aromatics is the creation of us, Michelle and Aaron. We’re two local crafters from Toledo, Ohio trying to bring some good to the world. A few years ago, Michelle was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a syndrome that includes bodywide pain in the muscle and connective tissue along with other symptoms. Struggling to manage the pain of this as well as raising a family kept her from working a typical job. As time passed and our kids grew up, we started looking for ways to get her back on her feet and working at her own pace. This, combined with our love for fantasy worlds and ancient legend, is when we first discovered the art of soap making!

 

During our research, we were surprised to find that most soaps sold on the market are filled with nothing more than chemicals and detergents. You shouldn’t need to be a chemist to figure out what’s being put into your body. This is why we strive to create high quality, natural products with ingredients you can recognize and understand. On occasion, we do use a preservative or additive to ensure the safety of our product, something we truly care about and want to give complete transparency. Otherwise, we do everything we can to promote natural ingredients that are good for you at an affordable price.

 

Another important aspect of our business is the mythical journey each product takes us on. While we started with inspiration from ancient Greece, we’re on our way to continue exploring mythologies from around the world. Learning about these rich landscapes, fantastical creatures, and mighty gods has been an amazing experience for us. Ultimately, we want to share as many of these diverse stories as we can while providing an array of products that everyone can enjoy.
